Getting Involved

Volunteering is a great way for the community to get involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities ranging from 1-2 hours/week to one – time special events.

Great Futures Start Here

Volunteers play a vital role in transforming the lives of our Club members. We are always looking for individuals and groups to offer their energy, time, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of our youth and keep our Clubs in top condition. Ongoing Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) volunteers are subject to background checks at least every year. Background checks may include, but are not limited to, checks of a volunteer’s driver’s license, National Sex Offender search, state and federal criminal records and credit checks; any offenses or convictions may prevent ongoing volunteer opportunities. BGCSTL reserves the right to conduct background checks on any/all volunteers at any time. A social security number will be requested for these checks.

Upon completion of a volunteer application and cleared background check, you will hear from BGCSTL staff about when you may start volunteering.

All personal information is considered confidential and will be shared only as required. No court-ordered community service is permitted. All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

For Corporate one-time volunteer events, you do NOT need to complete the application. Please contact tylinisha@bgcstl.org and someone will reach out to you about coordinating your group.
