February 2015 – Youth of the Month
Garrion D. is 14 years old and has been a member for 8 years. He has participated in a variety of programs such as Keystone, Leadership Club, Passport to Manhood, and PGA Golf. His favorite program area is the Teen Center where he can be creative and have positive experiences with other teenagers. He was selected because he is respectful and responsible. He has also assisted new members with feeling comfortable around the teenage group. He truly will help anyone who is in need of assistance. Garrion has developed leadership qualities that will take him to college and beyond. He has several experiences at the club but the experience that he spoke about most was the annual Black History Trip. Garrion says “Every Year I learn something new that I can bring home to share with my family!” He also shared his dreams and aspirations to becoming a millionaire just like Madam CJ Walker.
