January 2015 – Youth of the Month
Bria W. is 14 Years old and has been a member for 7 years. Her favorite programs are Keystone, Torch Club, SMART Girls, Healthy Habits, Smart Moves and Triple Play. She loves the Teen Center because it’s a place where she can unwind from school, talk with peers about events of the day, watch dvd’s or listen to music. Not only does Bria have a winning smile and a positive attitude she’s helpful around the club. She participates on every community service and field trip we have and she’s an active member of Keystone serving as treasurer. She maintains a 3.4 grade point average while being on her school’s girls volleyball team and is one of Adams Park’s candidates for Youth of the Year. Bria is a lifelong member of her church where she plays the bells with the church ensemble. Bria says coming to the club every day and being around people her age who are trying to do something with their lives not just in the future but right now has made her a more competitive and driven person. She says the club has taught her to be more responsible by cleaning up behind herself or just setting the right example.
